LUSK NOVA s.r.o. is slovakia´s sole producer of luxury chandeliers and chandelier trimmings(pendants). Its original purpose was to provide a supplementary source of hand-cut chandelier trimmings for Czech producer in Northen Bohemia. It began in 1970 as a branch of the Desná-based Jablonec glassworks corporation, wich supplied the materials for the trimmings. The cutters were trained at Desná and Smržovka in the art of griding crystal chandelier pendants on vertical wheels. In 1985, LUSK set out to produce its own chandeliers and lighting fixtures. It is currently a private company emploing 70. It produces about 150 models of chandeliers, table and bedside lamps, and wall - mounted fixtures, as well as pendants in over 500 faceted shapes: teardrops, crystals, orbs, and numerous others profiles. These pendants undergo a meticulous cutting process involving up to 10 grinding and polishing steps on sandstone or metal horizontal and vertical griding wheels. LUSK NOVA produced and supplied a large number of unique lighting fixtures on many major occasions. Its own experts carried out their on-the-spot assembly. Such important deliveries went to the seats of goverments and parlaments, to important historical sites, churches and palaces of workship, to concert halls, theatres, hotels and clubs throughout the world.
